Hanmer Springs is an alpine village about 90 minutes drive from Christchurch. Hanmer is known for it’s Thermal pools, walking and mountain bike trails and heritage woods.

Unwind in the hot pools, or indulge in spa treatments at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa. If you prefer something more exhilarating, there’s an impressive array of walking and cycling trails to discover. You can hire bikes in the village if you don’t have your own with you.
Hanmer Springs has a generous number of pubs and restaurants – you will find somewhere that suits your tastes, from a casual pub to fine dining. We are also lucky to have some boutique shops, all central to the village and easy to access.

The golf course is a popular choice for many, and you don’t have to be a pro to enjoy a game there. The course has stunning mountain views.
If adrenalin is your thing, Hanmer Adventure or Hanmer Springs Attractions both offer a range of activities, from Jet boating to Quad biking and many more.
