Dumblane Geodome is the first of the three glamping pods at Hanmer Glamping. This dome has the largest bathroom and is accessible to wheelchair users. The secluded garden is set to the side of the pod, and has it’s own outdoor seating area, BBQ and woodfired hot tub.
There is a designated parking space approximately 50m from the dome. A compacted gravel path with solar lighting makes this easily accessible. If you need help with your luggage that is no problem, and we have a luggage trolley which you are welcome to use.
Dumblane Geodome is nestled amongst trees and flax bushes, so you are guaranteed to hear the birds. Tui love the flax in spring, while our resident bell birds make themselves heard. Fantails will join you in the garden, and at dusk there are frequently quail on the lawn.
Mt Charon is the central mountain peak in the view from this dome with Mount Dumblane slightly to the right. Both these peaks are a great day walk with magnificent views and scenery. To the left your view is towards the Lewis Pass.
