Your arrival at Hanmer Glamping

When you arrive at Hanmer Glamping you will see an allocated parking space for your Dome tent in the yard at the top of the drive.  See the map.

On the rare occasion that we are not there to welcome you, you can find your tent by following the lime-chip path to the right of the parking area down to the Domes.  Each dome has a small sign in front of it with the name; Dumblane, Balfour and Isobel.

Dumblane is the first tent on the left, Balfour the second, directly opposite the shed, and Isobel the last tent a further 60m down the path.

If you are not sure which tent you booked please see your booking confirmation email or call us on +64 27 274 4441.

Or check your booking in the guest portal

Hanmer Glamping Hot Tubs Spring Special

Other Information

The hot tubs are there to be enjoyed and there is plenty of firewood in the shed opposite Balfour dome; help yourself.

Just a few words on using the hot tubs:

  • If we have not lit them for you please “Check its alright” selecting “Permanent fireplaces and pizza ovens” and then the address “160 Medway Road, Hanmer Springs”.  During fire restrictions you may not be allowed to light them
  • Please do not light the hot tub if it is not full with water above the burner or burner intake. Doing so will damage the stainless steel
  • Do not leave the burner doors open, especially in fire season due to the fire risk
  • Most importantly, before you hop in give it a stir and check the temperature as they get very hot!  If too hot add cold water using the hose and no worries if it overflows 🙂

Otherwise enjoy a hot dip, glass of wine and staring at the stars!

The gardens at Hanmer Glamping

During your visit

During your stay at Hanmer Glamping please feel free to wander around the gardens or explore the area down the drive, our paddocks across the road and the Hanmer river the other side of the paddocks (no formed walks).

The games shed is also there to be used. So feel free to open the doors and enjoy the view while playing pool or darts.  Or put the table tennis top on the pool table.  There is an Apple speaker if you would like some music using “Hey Siri” but please keep the volume down to be fair to other guests enjoying the peace and quiet.

Occasionally you may find a bowl of eggs or other produce on the bench to the left of the shed door.  Help yourself!
