Now the bases are built and signed off, it’s time to start constructing the Geodesic dome frames. This part we could do ourselves. It took us two days per Geodesic dome to get the frame fully up, and the front door in place.
Why we choose to do this in summertime is a mystery. Steel poles in the sun are HOT! Even with gloves we had a few burns.
Luckily, Steve is happy up a ladder and did an amazing job fitting all the parts together (yes – it does matter which pole you put where!)
It’s starting to feel a bit more real now!
